Tue 15 Jul 2008, 5:26 pm

Upon consideration of the application for the change of name filed herein and no objections having been made and proof of publication having been made and filed herein, and all other requirements appear having been met, it is this 15th day of July, 2008, ORDERED BY THE COURT that the said application be and hereby is granted, and it is further, ORDERED BY THE COURT that henceforth and hereafter Randy Charles Boland be known as Brock Drummond Boland.

For real. I still need to get it changed with Social Security, and then on my driver's license and everywhere else, but check it out - my name is Brock.

So do you get any kind of weird looks when you introduce yourself as Brock? I've been introducing myself to everyone -- personally and professionally -- as Web for the past 4 years and I've come to actually enjoy the double take people do when they're shaking my hand and I'm telling them "I'm Web". Been going by the name for 11+ years now, so it seems perfectly natural and common to me, I forget that very few people have that first name.

Yay for you!

Nope. Outside of work, I've been Brock for about seven years. There are other Brocks out there, but once in a while people are like, "Brock? Oh, that's a cool name."

Yeah! that is so awesome! I'm glad this went through, good luck on the rest of the changing I remember how much "fun" the name-changing process was.

My fiancees last name is Drummond. Rather than her taking my name, we're taking each other's last names as our middle names. We're not getting married till next September, but I need to get a passport, and I figured it would be easier to change it now rather than updating my passport with everything else later on.
